Harrisburg Suburb Engineer Dishes Rumors Of 88k+ SF Retail Box

by thiryj

CPBJ Reports:  A retailer wants to build an 88,580-square-foot building near the Capital City Mall in Lower Allen Township, said Dan Flint, township engineer.

Flint would not say what company it is or when it would like to build the structure because the plans have yet to go before the township planning commission.

An engineering firm for the company submitted a sketch plan of the project to the township several days ago, Flint said. The commission will review the plan at a public meeting on Feb. 15, he said. Flint said he could not share a copy of the sketch with the Business Journal before the meeting.

The building would be constructed on the former Forbes Chevrolet dealership lot at 3400 Hartzdale Drive in Cumberland County. The property has been vacant for several years, Flint said. The dealership building still is on the site.
